Crawford Names José Vicente Gomes da Silva as Country Manager for Brazil

  
ATLANTA (November 13, 2013) - Crawford & Company (NYSE: CRDA; CRDB) has appointed José Vicente Gomes da Silva as its new country manager for Brazil, effective immediately.

IIn his new position Gomes will have the responsibility for developing and maintaining local client relationships, overseeing operational and administrative activities, and supervising adjusting services. He is based in Crawford's São Paulo office.

"In José's many years of senior management leadership experience with large, international insurers, he has developed extensive knowledge of claims adjusting and client service. He is an excellent fit with Crawford," said Kevin B. Frawley, executive vice president and chief executive officer, Property & Casualty - Americas. "We are confident that he is the right leader to drive the future growth and delivery of high quality services of our Brazilian operations."

With more than 30 years of industry experience, he has served in a variety of management and executive roles; most recently he was executive director of MS&S Consultoria em Seguros Ltda., a consulting firm specializing in the insurance industry. Prior to that position he served for seven years as chief claims officer for Zurich Brasil Seguros, where he led the claims department.

Earlier he held positions with several other companies, including Liberty Paulista Seguros and Hannover International Seguros.

He received a degree in Civil Engineering from the Centro Universitário de Itajubá. In 2007 he earned his Master of Business Administration in Project Management from the Universidade de São Paulo.
