("VIQ Solutions" or the "Corporation") (TSX VENTURE:VQS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Sebastien Pare as President of VIQ Solutions effective immediately. Mr. Pare is expected to commence his daily duties with VIQ Solutions on August 1, 2014.
Mr. Pare will assume responsibility for continuing to build the Corporation's digital recording and management business unit with the primary directive of generating sustainable revenues from operations and ultimately creating value for VIQ Solutions' shareholders. Mr. Pare will be responsible for the strategic and global operations of the digital recording and management business, setting innovative programs to meet goals in revenue growth, with an emphasis on complementary market verticals and emerging geographic regions.
In his new role, Mr. Pare will report to David Outhwaite, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors.

In Mr. Pare's most recent position, he was President and Chief Operating Officer of an enterprise technology platform company dedicated to public sector digital services in a number of market sectors including courts, justice, law enforcement and healthcare on a worldwide basis. Previously, he held key management roles in professional and advisory services and sales and product positions in public and private sectors in North America and in the Middle East. Mr. Pare received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Quebec at Montreal and a Master of Science from the University of British Columbia.
