CareView Communications, Inc. Announces Execution of Pilot Agreement with Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville

CRVW

CareView Communications, Inc. ("CareView" or the "Company") (OTCQB:CRVW), an information technology provider to the healthcare industry, announced today the execution of a three-month pilot agreement with Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville, a 526-bed hospital owned by Baptist Health. Baptist Health has approximately 1,150 licensed beds located in or near Jacksonville, Florida.

Under the pilot agreement, CareView has installed on a sample of beds at Baptist Jacksonville its CareView System® products and services, including parts of its Primary Package (with NurseView®, Virtual Bed Rails® and Virtual Chair Rails modules, the CareView Fall Management Program® and Rounding Alerts) and additional services including the Sitter Management Program and Nursing Alerts and Reminders.

"We look forward to partnering with Baptist Health and know that our products will assist them to continue providing their patients with exceptional care. Our products will provide their patients with greater safety and satisfaction and will provide more efficient ways to manage staff, assets and patient care," said Steve Johnson, CareView's President and Chief Executive Officer.

CareView utilizes unique patented technology to enhance patient safety and prevent patient falls. Virtual Bed Rails and Virtual Chair Rails can be set up remotely from a monitoring station or handheld device to passively monitor patient motion in and around the bedside. This technology has shown tremendous efficacy in reducing falls and providing advanced response times from nursing.

Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville is using the technology as part of an overall enhancement to its culture of safety. Staff will be dedicated around the clock to watch the monitors and use existing hand-free communication devices worn by nursing staff to notify them in the event of a potential patient fall.

"Our primary goal is to reduce falls and falls with injuries," said Nancy Simon, Vice President of Patient Care Services for Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville. "We are hopeful the video technology with dedicated personnel watching the monitors will assist us in a faster response. Every second counts when it comes to fall prevention. Reducing falls and falls that result in injuries is a systemwide initiative."
