Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) has signed a contract with the city
of North Miami Beach, Florida, for Tyler’s EnerGov®
planning, permitting and licensing and Munis®
enterprise resources planning (ERP) solutions to replace several of the
city’s disparate legacy systems. The contract includes software
licenses, related professional services, maintenance and support.
The city’s core business applications, including financial management,
utility billing, human resources management and payroll, have been
administered via legacy systems that required ongoing modifications.
To modernize its systems, streamline workflows and better integrate core
business functions, the city of North Miami Beach conducted a
competitive review of municipal software providers, with an emphasis on
finding a flexible solution that would grow and evolve with the city
well into the future.
Because of its commitment to selecting one integrated solution that
would be an excellent long-term investment for its taxpayers, the city
was particularly attracted by Tyler’s evergreen philosophy, which
includes software updates and upgrades as part of annual maintenance
with no additional license fees.
The city of North Miami Beach has 418 full-time employees, 160
part-time/seasonal employees and approximately 42,000 residents.
