Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) has signed an agreement with the
Albemarle County Service Authority (ACSA) to implement Microsoft Dynamics®
AX, an enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution with public sector
functionality that Tyler Technologies jointly developed with Microsoft®.
The contract includes implementation and related professional services,
support, and training.
Based in Charlottesville, Virginia, the ACSA chose Microsoft Dynamics AX
to replace its legacy financial management and payroll system that has
been in service for more than 20 years. The ACSA’s objective was to find
a comprehensive, user-friendly and intuitive ERP system that would help
the service authority operate more efficiently and effectively.
After a comprehensive review, which included interviews with existing
Tyler clients regarding their experiences implementing Microsoft
Dynamics AX, the service authority awarded the contract to Tyler. The
ACSA expects operating efficiency and productivity improvements from
Microsoft Dynamics AX, which will also provide flexibility that the ACSA
needs as it continues to grow.
Tyler has been successfully designing, implementing, and supporting
software solutions exclusively for the public sector for decades. As
part of the Tyler-Microsoft agreement, Tyler is an authorized reseller
of Microsoft Dynamics AX and provides software implementation, support
and other services.
Created in 1964 by the County Board of Supervisors, the ACSA provides
water distribution and wastewater collection service to more than 18,000
customers across 350 miles of waterlines. Located at the foot of the
Blue Ridge Mountains, Albemarle County is approximately 65 miles west of
Richmond, Virginia.
