City of Gadsden, Alabama, Selects Public Safety and Court Solutions from Tyler Technologies

TYL

Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) has signed an agreement with the city of Gadsden, Alabama, for the company’s Tyler Public Safety and Incode® solutions. The agreement includes related professional services, training and support.

The city’s goal was to replace its legacy computer aided dispatch (CAD) and court systems with a modern, comprehensive solution to help police and court staff work more efficiently. The city preferred an integrated solution from a single vendor whose solutions have a successful track record of sharing data between police departments and courts while also interfacing with state agencies.

The city of Gadsden selected Tyler Public Safety for its modern features, including the latest CAD technology with easier and intuitive methods to dispatch calls and assign police units. The Gadsden Police Department also valued Tyler Public Safety’s dashboard, which provides detailed crime analysis so that police assets can be strategically deployed to best combat crime.

Tyler Public Safety also provides visibility into first responder calls for greater coordination across departments. Because Tyler Public Safety and Incode are integrated, they help streamline data sharing between police and courts, which reduces the time that staff spend on data entry and report retrieval.

Incode will drive efficiencies for Gadsden’s municipal court by more quickly collecting outstanding fines, and will reduce material costs by consuming less paper and adopting an online imaging system for documentation. Incode will also allow residents to conduct more judicial business online, which streamlines case management.

Gadsden is the county seat of Etowah County and serves more than 37,000 residents. The city’s police department has more than 100 full-time police officers, and its municipal court adjudicates traffic and misdemeanor cases.
