UBS
Wealth Management Americas, a division of UBS AG, recently renamed
its retirement plan consulting business, UBS
Retirement Plan Consulting Services , to better reflect the
company's service offering, and significant commitment to the business
and its plan sponsor clients. The business had formerly been known as
the DC Advisory Program.
With a shifting environment and ongoing regulatory changes, including
potential new DOL fiduciary rules, retirement plans face growing
complexity and increasingly seek consulting services.1 As
part of their commitment to serve this market, UBS Retirement Plan
Consulting Services recently conducted extensive research into the
changing industry landscape and evolving client needs to ensure they
deliver services that meet the needs of today's plan sponsors.
Leveraging insights gained from plan sponsor feedback, the business has
developed a keen focus on what plan sponsors value and desire in a
consultant. UBS Retirement Plan Consulting Services provides sponsors
with:
-
Customized advice and a roadmap for managing plan complexity
-
An experienced and dedicated Retirement Plan Consultant delivering
advice through a firm with extensive resources and capital strength
-
Retirement plan consulting capabilities, coupled with our broad
financial experience to help manage today’s challenges for both plan
sponsors and participants
"As a result of plan sponsor demand for a consultant to help them manage
their fiduciary responsibilities in this changing environment, our
business is experiencing significant growth," explained Gene Silverman,
Head of Corporate Retirement Plans for UBS Wealth Management Americas.
"The retirement plan landscape has shifted, and plan sponsors today face
heightened scrutiny. Our Retirement Plan Consultants help clients
strengthen their retirement plans and at the same time manage plan
complexity."
UBS Retirement Plan Consulting Services is committed to delivering
tailored advice and helping plan sponsors pursue tangible results
through a disciplined process. Within the framework of the UBS Plan
Management Roadmap, Retirement Plan Consultants create customized paths
to help clients reach their goals. In addition to advising plan
sponsors, UBS Retirement Plan Consulting Services is dedicated to
providing relevant financial education to plan participants.
"Our goal is to help plan participants prepare for retirement by
providing investment-related education that assists participants in
making informed investment decisions," said Silverman. "Participants
face a huge retirement challenge in today's environment, and plan
sponsors must address their growing responsibilities. We believe our
Retirement Plan Consultants are in the best position to help clients
meet both goals."
UBS Retirement Plan Consulting Services comprises a national network of
experienced Retirement Plan Consultants who serve more than 1,400
retirement plans, representing more than $55 billion in plan assets.2
Clients include organizations of all sizes across a number of
industries, such as manufacturing, healthcare and professional services.
The business has experienced significant growth across the full spectrum
of client types, and continues to drive enhancement and investment to
sustain the momentum. UBS was ranked among the top five consultants in
the industry in two key areas: total number of defined contribution
consulting plans and total number of consulting plans with assets less
than $50 million.3
