Gerald McCarvill

Gerald McCarvill is chairman and CEO of Prince Arthur Capital Corporation. He has extensive experience in the origination and execution of global mining and energy projects, and private equity and finance transactions. His career includes more than 30 years in the financial sector, holding senior positions with major investment firms, including the executive committee of CIBC Wood Gundy. Most recently, Gerald was CEO of McCarvill Corporation, a diversified financial services company which financed mining and energy companies. He helped establish Repadre Capital Corporation, a mining royalty company, now IAMGOLD, Desert Sun Mining, which was acquired by Yamana Gold Inc., and Metals Royalty Corporation. In addition, he was part of the investment group, and served as a member of the board of directors that developed and financed Consolidated Thompson Iron Ore Corporation from an entry valuation of $2 million to its 2011 sale to Cliffs Natural Resources Inc. for $4.9 billion. He is also a director and chairman of Aurvista Gold Corporation (TSXv: AVA).

Jon Hykawy

Jon Hykawy is a 14-year veteran of Bay Street, spending his time there exclusively on the sell side. Originally, he trained as a physicist, and worked as a post-doc at the Chalk River Nuclear Laboratories of AECL and with the Sudbury Neutrino Observatory. Jon completed his MBA at Queen's University with an emphasis in marketing. He worked in the areas of critical materials with Byron Capital Markets in Toronto from 2009 to 2013, and has become a recognized expert in such areas as: lithium, rare earth elements, fluorspar and tin. Jon has been an invited speaker internationally on all of these topics, and more. His technical background includes work on rechargeable batteries, fuel cells, and both wind and solar power.

Joseph Martin

Joe Martin is the founder and chairman of Cambridge House International Inc. He graduated from the University of Saskatchewan, majoring in English, and began a career in journalism. In 1969, he moved to British Columbia and, in 1973, became the founder, editor and publisher of BC Business Magazine. He sold this magazine in the mid 1980s. He then became the publisher of World Investment News – which was his introduction into the mineral exploration sector and the public markets. This work led him to founding Cambridge House International Inc. — a company that established annual investment conferences for mineral exploration and mining by hosting shows in several cities across North America. These shows consistently remain among the largest in the sector. Joe claims to be somewhat retired but he still serves as Chairman of Cambridge House and actively works to advocate and influence regulatory reforms and improvements to ensure that they are clear and easily understood, and allow for effective enforcement.
