Some of the stocks that may grab investor focus today are:

  • Wall Street expects Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc (NASDAQ: WBA) to post its quarterly earnings at $1.14 per share on revenue of $29.71 billion. Walgreens Boots Alliance shares fell 0.47 percent to $83.13 in after-hours trading.
  • Analysts are expecting Greenbrier Companies Inc (NYSE: GBX) to have earned $1.09 per share on revenue of $599.53 million in the latest quarter. Greenbrier shares rose 0.38 percent to $28.90 in after-hours trading.

  • Shares of Medivation Inc (NASDAQ: MDVN) rose Tuesday, following a report from Reuters that it was in talks with Sanofi SA (ADR) (NYSE: SNY) over a sweetened offer. Meidvation later confirmed it had received and rejected an offer of $58.00 per share in cash from Sanfoi, plus a CVR for Talazoparib sales, worth up to $3.00 per share. Medivation shares gained 1.20 percent to $62.50 in the after-hours trading session, while Sanofi shares fell 1.03 percent to close at $41.36 on Tuesday.
  • Analysts expect MSC Industrial Direct Co Inc (NYSE: MSM) to report its quarterly earnings at $1.00 per share on revenue of $734.18 million. MSC Industrial Direct shares declined 0.78 percent to close at $70.80 on Tuesday.
