Patent Application for "MEDIA FILE DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM AND METHOD" Issued

Patent Application No. 2,603,460, titled "MEDIA FILE DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM AND METHOD" (the "Patent"), has been issued by the
Canadian Intellectual Property Office. The Patent has a maximum term of twenty (20) years from its filing date, expiring on
September 19, 2027.
The Patent relates generally to a file distribution method and system for distributing media files using peer-to-peer file
distribution protocols such as BitTorrent, while maintaining security and control over the file distribution.
U.S. patent No. 11/854,289 for "MEDIA FILE DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM AND METHOD", which was granted in 2011, contains 19 claims,
including three independent claims (1, 10 and 19).
