LiveXLive acquires worldwide rights to livestream and distribute diverse slate of artist-driven SGE music festivals

WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif., May 2, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- LiveXLive Media, Inc. (NASDAQ: LIVX) ("LiveXLive"), a global digital media company focused on live entertainment, today announced that it had signed an exclusive global livestreaming and multi-platform distribution agreement with Synergy Global Entertainment (SGE).  Under the terms of the agreement, LiveXLive will livestream select performances and related original content as well as episodic programming from 11 upcoming SGE festivals and events.

LiveXLive (PRNewsFoto/Loton, Corp.) (PRNewsfoto/LiveXLive Media, Inc.)

Founded in 2009 by John Reese, SGE has created and produced over 50 multi-genre  lifestyle and music festivals, often in partnership with, or curated by, artists.  SGE will produce 20+ immersive music festivals in 2019, selling 1MM plus tickets to Back to the Beach, curated with Travis Barker and John Feldmann, Diplo Presents The Super, Ultra, Giant Mega Mad Decent Block Party Festival, and Real Street Festival curated with iHeartMedia and many more.  SGE also adds immersed lifestyle elements to the events they produce, uniting audiences around communities such as surfers (who attend Back at the Beach); punk rock fans who buy tickets for Camp Anarchy; and bikers who show up for Lost Highway, a festival that combines music and motorcycles.

"Our partnership with SGE is perfect for LiveXLive because we both share the same core belief that artists are the driving force of both companies," said Rob Ellin, Chairman and CEO of LiveXLive.  "SGE builds festivals around artists, and in many ways, partnering with SGE is partnering with artists themselves."

"LiveXLive envisions the future of visual and audio experiences in sync with our future as a Live Event/Digital Media enterprise," said John Reese, Founder and CEO of SGE.  "LiveXLive is focused on artist discovery, and we're excited about our partnership and our mutual goal of expanding the beautiful experience of live music through organic, immersive discovery augmented by artist engagement."

In addition to performances, artist interviews, behind-the-scenes exclusives, and start-to-finish commentary will air on LiveZone, LiveXLive's on-site studio activation.  The content will be available across all LiveXLive platforms.

LiveXLive and SGE will kick off the new partnership on May 31 with Camp Anarchy, a three-day Punk Rock Music Festival and Campout in Thornville, Ohio.  An anticipated 35,000 music fans will attend Camp Anarchy over three days.
