Nothing is working

Guess the new investment by the small cap division isn't a positive either, judging by market reaction. Seems nothing Alaris is doing now is helping turn sentiment around.

The payback AD is getting on that new investment is not high enough to offset the risk of it going bad, IMO.

Matisia doesn't appear to make its financial statements public; I have been unable to find enough information to assess risk. But you did. Are you willing to share your information sources with us? .

According to IR, Solowave contributed about $6M a year to Alaris, while the new investment will provide approximately $3.5M. So in aggregate there are losing $2.5 M in annual cash flow based on these two transactions. IR said they need another partner (at an investment of roughly $20-25M) to make up the shortfall. But he also stated that they are comfortable with their dividend coverage for now ...more

@righand2 ... I note you've visited the bullboard since I asked you for sources, and you did not respond (other than to rate my posting, with undeserved generosity I might add, because mine had no beneficial information and therefore deserved no stars at all). Again then, do you have sources for a risk profile on Matisia and are you willing to share them? I ask for sources (i.e. evidential ...more

I think s/p drop is overdone and have added to my position today, however, i will say that it will most probably take a quarter or 2 of decent results and or a resolution of the kmh situation to turn market sentiment positive i expect the next quarter to be decent and guidance to be reasonably good going forward. I doubt the divy will be cut unless more investments go bad. yesterday scotia came ...more

a reduction to the KMH units of $7 million CAD due to aforementioned negotiations on the pending redemption; a reduction to the SCR Mining and Tunneling, LP ("SCR") units of $2.5 million CAD due to reduced expectations for distributions over the next twelve months; and a reduction to the Kimco units of $3.8 million USD due to a reduced expectations for distributions over the next twelve ...more

The info is in AD's own news release.
Comment by TickerTwit on Oct 14, 2016 12:34am
The news release has no information usable in risk assessment, referring only to a review of Matisia's internal results. Your quality as a bullboard participant has now been established. .

Matisia is a scam. I know because I read about it somewhere (source undisclosed). Why is AD happy with a 1.9% return on this investment? (source for return undisclosed). Also, a friend of mine has access to its financial statements (source undisclosed) and he told me that the risk is not worth it (risk undisclosed). I trust my friend and what I read, because I read that it is important to trust ...more

While the rest of your post is garbage, the above is an important fact. Any company that acquires/consolidates other companies, or just takes a revenue stream like AD, is depending on the honesty of the books of their targets. Many times, things are not as rosy as presented, as AD has found out. AD presently has three underperforming companies on the books, and that simply has to be corrected.

If everything (source / return / risk / scam) is undisclosed - why are you disclosing this (source for intention undisclosed) You are not my friend so I don't trust you. Maybe your undisclosed friend will (source for trust undisclosed) maybe be a third post will be the charm (source for third post will of course be undisclosed) GLTA

My apologies buddy, I thought the sarcasm was obvious enough in my previous comment. I will make sure to put a disclairmer next time I'm laughing at a post that is nonsense. My message to this board was that you shouldn't believe people that post comments with 'facts' and 'data' that are coming from undisclosed sources. DD is key and back to my first comment posted ...more

No apologies needed & thank you for your inputs but it is crazy the kind of wrong info that is added on these boards (which many folks take at face value) .. I thought it was sarcasm but with 2 posts - I was really not sure .. My fault.   Your message carries words of wisdom from the school of hard knocks. GLTA
