They are a (THE!) connected solution to gas monitoring ...and they are pretty much the leaders in the field.
Also interesting to remember how Blackline was started as a car theft safety device with the GPS-Snitch solution ...followed by a large suite of other mobile applications to the main technology.
They would actually be very well positioned for such applications, especially with the 24/7 live monitoring backbone already built! ...perhaps it might be the reason why they leveraged more funding even though they were already pretty well funded. It also ties to the mention of new markets and products in the PR at the time. This company is extremely well positioned for continued growth while the recurring fee revenue ensures continuous revenues, the best business model that many have adopted in this new era of business.
