I just read that the gas auto senor market is to grow to $8.2 billion USD by 2024.
Also , i seen a report that has Blacklinbe Saftey as a "player" in  Automotive Gas Sensor Market.

Well , that strikes me as a weird report for Blackline to be mentioned in. From the latest news release "Blackline provides wearable safety technology, personal and area gas monitoring, cloud-connected software and data analytics to meet demanding safety challenges and increase productivity of organizations in more than 100 countries." As far as I know people are not wearing cars!

Just think of the last part of the quote you are refering to :"area gas monitoring, cloud-connected software and data analytics to meet demanding safety challenges and increase productivity of organizations in more than 100 countries" ...it totally applies to BLN!!  They are a (THE!) connected solution to gas monitoring ...and they are pretty much the leaders in the field.  ...more

They were the pioneers in the field of asset tracking, ahead of the time, but just didn't have the financing and backbone to roll out rapidly enough before many more caught on and came onboard with bigger means.  When they were bought out by Picasso (ex BW Technology people), it was the connected gas detection application that was seen as something to be the pioneers and leaders, which ...more

To me , it still seems like a stretch to go from wearables to being in cars. There's this in the closing of the offering. "This injection of capital will enable us to accelerate the next phase of our growth as we develop new safety products and services while expanding further into connected worker technologies and data science,” I guess monitoring car emissions might be a safety ...more

Everything gas and chemical related (anything with dangerous emissions) needs delivery/monitoring.  Whether on trucks, trains, boats, etc...  Could certainly be a logical area of monitoring given the connected functionnality already in place, and definitely safety-related.  Any which way, it will be interesting to see what the additional funding might deliver.  I also hope ...more
