RE:RE:RE:As a WMD shareholder...Perrier

The reason that Hiku and WeedMD will merge is simple. WeedMD was already a partner with them early on, so they obviously like what they see in each other, have a great working relationship.

Why are they good for each other? because they both see there are huge segments of the population that are not being brought into the story so far. In WeedMD's case its seniors, in Hiku's case it is women, hipsters and millenial professionals who don't fit the protypical stoner culture.
Through branding, and specific targeting products, both companies are going after these segments of the population that are actually a higher margin target.

you say you want cadbury, but Canopy is already canopy so only a fool would try to go toe to toe with that.

Look at lululemon and tell me you would rather have owned Nike for the last 10 years. Nike is a great company, and so is Canopy, but they are not targeting, they are not going after the high margins, and they are not telling specific stories to specific people.
You say you don't care where your weed comes from, and theres always going to be 80 percent of people who agree with that. but 20 percent do. and these are the buyers of Tesla, Lululemon, Godiva, Panera, Glossier.  If cannabis is a consumer product, then this story will unfold no differently.  WeedMd wanted a partner who understood this very fact.

As for MedMen and Tokyo Smoke being store failures in the license race, i completely disagree. these are well funded, and well managed companies who aren't blindly racing to acquire strip mall retail setups. The stores will come, and they will be in the best locations in the world.

Hiku has 27000 followers on instagram, the world's leading social media platform. Medmen has 60,000. it is just a matter of 2 or 3 years before buying on instragram will be commonplace. WeedMD is lucky to have such a well connected partner from the onset of this story.
