RE:RE:RE:Feb 5 Globe article

RE:RE:RE:Feb 5 Globe articleThank you Poerknniffer for your cocern. I am not worried at all. When there are few purchasers and competition is really tough, deal takes time. Here origanal purchaser will make real money in this deal. BEL  will make approx  95 million in this deal and will pay only 50% of purchase price so total gain is 292 million plus 95 million= $387 million , so it is in their best interest to have this deal. It is really a win win situation for them. Not only that they are saving on GLN dividend and BEL dividend money making approx $400 million.
Secondly, such deals take more time if number of competitors are less, in this case only 3 majors. In cae of burger deal, anybody can make a burger better than burger king and number of competititors are more than 20. Also original purchaser will be making money (approx 400 million) on this deal, so there is no comparison at all between a burger king deal and a wireless deal that has a well known potential. Secondly 2 and 3 year contracts are maturing simultaniusly so timining is perfect for BEL and Rogers. Thirdly they will loose 33.33 millions if deal does not go through instead of 95 millions+ paying only 1/2 price,  thus making $390 net gain, not only that making money on enhanced distribution channels avoiding further competition so they are really laughing all the way to the bank. Rogers is paying only 1/2 price plus 95 million to BELL thus avoiding further bidding with no guarantees. Here they are paying only 50% plus reasonable premium to BEL  (and not to GLN)  so they are securing there 100% distribution channels compared to Source deal where they lost 100%. Distribution network is remaining same .TELUS was never a factor. Such deals take usually 9 months to bear fruits, so it is a normal process. No other competion has so far filed any objection including TELUS as Roger's did. So with no oposition at all, I think this deal will go through smoothly. Thirdly BEL and Rogers will make good money from US stores with 25% exchange rate bonanza. So just sit back and relax. You will celebarate before May 2015.
