HPQ Silicon Inc HPQFF

Primary Symbol: V.HPQ

HPQ Silicon Inc. (HPQ) is a Canada-based technology company specializing in green engineering of silica and silicon-based materials. The Company is engaged in developing, with the support of technology partners PyroGenesis Canada Inc. (PyroGenesis) and Novacium SAS, new green processes to make the critical materials needed to reach net zero emissions. Its activities are centered around the three pillars: becoming a green low-cost (Capex and Opex) manufacturer of Fumed Silica using the Fumed Silica Reactor, a proprietary technology owned by HPQ being developed for HPQ by PyroGenesis; becoming a producer of silicon-based anode materials for battery applications with the assistance of Novacium SAS, and Novacium SAS is engaged in developing a low carbon, chemical base on demand and high-pressure autonomous hydrogen production system. The Company operates in a single operating segment, segment, being the sector of the transformation of quartz into silicon materials and derivative products.

I heard some U.S. politician make a remark today about the importance of Gallium in enhancing or replacing silicon in vital industries such as chipsets required for power transistors and integrated circuits.
His concern was that the only place you get Gallium is China.

Found this website:

How does HPQ fit in this picture or is that an entirely different avenue?

Pandora,

Gallium in this scenario is used in conjunction with Silicon in integrated circuits. It is not a replacement for Silicon.  What they are using it for is the doping agent for the P/N junction in transistors and the Gate to Scource and Gate to Drain junction in MOSFETS.  Apparently it has 10 times the switching speed of the same transistors and Mosfets using standard doping material.   Dont mean to make it crazy technical here but thats what its for so no still need lots of silicon as that makes up for about 70 percent of a transistor.
