Well Planned & Executed Hit-Piece by GEO

Starting today China and TaiWan are having a long holidays celebrating mid-autum festival. Offices closed and no one available to entertain any enquiries. Probably Dickson is on his way back to China after the ASM. Looks like this is a perfect timing for releasing hit-piece.

Well, we have lived through this before with GEO.  No, this does not look good. But neither did their other BS hit pieces that when they first came out that looked so factual and caused everyone to freak out.  I do not possibly know how GEO can legally get away with doing such hit pieces and shorting the stock.  Just seems that it should be as illegal as hell.  ...more

DC Lee's response today regarding the GEO hit piece....... Dickson Lee, Chairman and CEO, commented, "GeoInvesting has made false and misleading statements about the Company in the past, while admitting they were actively shorting our stock. We were informed that there were unusually high put option activities yesterday which are set to expire tomorrow. GeoInvesting has made no attempt ...more

Farstar: I think it should be Buyins to have notified LLEN about the unusual options activitives.  That's what the firm is paid for, right?   On the other hand, Dickson Lee is a tough guy.  I know he will fight for his own interest.  However, it is no surprise to us that he and the Company have limited financial resources to substain any fight with GEO wihtout a ...more

Coo You are most likely correct that LLEN was notified by BUYINS regarding the unusually high put options activity.  As far as not getting too close, well there are many who are either still holding or sold out of fear.  I have to wonder how many are frustrated and angry with GEO's very apparent coordinated manipulitive and I suspect illegal hit piece.....again.  I for ...more

I admire your will farstar. Kind of reminds me of the stuff I tried to dig up in defense for Sino Forest, although I bought it after the short sellers report. The problem there, and could happen here also, is there isn't enough proof against Geoinvesting claims. Also, I am one to believe that the Chinese do cook their books at least a bit, so even if a minor discrepancy is found ...more

The difference in this case is that LLEN went through this before, same type of hitpiece with the same accusations, went to court basically won the court battle. Sino was toppled after one series of attacks. If Geo turns out to be wrong and are spreading mallicious lies, I see this ending very badly for them. LLEN is a U.S. company, understand U.S. law and have conenctions within the U.S. They ...more

It's a little known fact that Sino Forest was hit with similar allegations years before, but the reports were unfocused, and that time the Chinese stocks weren't scrutinized. The judge threw out the class action back in 2011, it seems due to the fact that the company issued a revised 2010 statement, citing internal control deficiencies (or something along those lines), and that was when ...more

Farstar: You surely are a loyal shareholder here.  I have invested in this Company for quite a few years and now get really frustrated by the quality of management, especially Dickson.  I like him b/c he is a go-getter but I also hate it (not him) when he screws things up repeatedly.  Never seem to have learned a lesson after going thru hit-pieces since 2010. LLEN needs good ...more

I would not charactize myself as a loyal shareholder.  Just a man that believes in standing up to what is right. Let me put it this way. If you had an ahole for a neighbor and he slandered you wife, you might have a few words with him and hopefully that would take care of it.  But if he did it again, well let me say what Harcher kinda just said about it being a kick in the pants. I ...more

Farstar: I think the timing of the hit-piece by GEO is way too malicous and really hit the Company harder than before.  If LLEN is to ride out of the storm, it will have to go extra mile to increase its transparency.  So far, the Special Independent Committee is the right move.  TDR application will likely be delayed as I suspect KPMG Taiwan will scrutize those issues brought up by ...more

DC LOL....a Fargarita...now that is funny! If this Mr Toad's Wild Ride turns out ok, then I can't think of anything I would enjoy more then to meet up at LLEN's headquarters for that toast & celebrations! Not much time for posting since yesterday. I was judging a big MMA event last night and tonight I am judging a boxing event. Being involved in the professional fight world ...more
