This is an excellent thread by the way. The key here is not that biocloud would be used as a medical test/device, it's that if the protocol is such that each individual is to be tested each day, or most days in the case of the production team, and reguardless of symptoms, it starts to make financial and logistical sense to more or less sample all staff in a matter of minutes with Biocloud, and even more so for larger crews and groups of people. Then subsequently, rapid PCR tests are administered to only those who 'signaled' the need to be tested as verified 99% by the Biocloud. In Ontario general public is about 1/20 or 5% of those tested are tested positive. In the NBA over the last 7 days just 1/474 tests came back positive. 

[Addition: speculating an 80-90% reduction in cost fo testing as a result do to the increase accuracy of testing only positively screen indivduals]. 

I'll speculate that within the next 8-12 months the cost of the cartridges (including the recycling program) will cost the end user no more than $100 per replaceable cartridge. For starters you will see every single team-based sports franchise adopt this even before this price come down.

NHL Is running a deficit this year. So much so that they had to opt for the cheaper 24 hour lab test that genes pub gets  as compared to NBA for example (30 mins). The latter test is about 3x more expensive, but is of course it's rapid. As of Sept 20, 2020 the average cost of a regular Covid-19 test in Ontario was about $47.50. And that's just for the test, not the labor, not the PPE, etc. The public wanted more testing to be done at about 50,000 clip and at one point the tests were travelling to labs in California to handle the surge. How much are you willing to pay for negative test? It's the necessary compromise that has been made to date. Let's see what's happens next...

[Verdict: Long line ups of people walking into the equivalent of a tranparent glass box, maybe a 10-25 sq ft.. Step 1: Clean rapidly with 254 nm UV light, Step 2: Patient steps into the closed box, Step 3: Sample air for maximum 30 seconds, Step 4: Those who test positive at the 99% accuracy level are triaged to rapid PCR, those with negative symptoms return home imemdiatly. Repeat]
