RE:BNN article.....Honestly, ACB has to put this term into the offer to protect themselves. If CMED acquires HIP, it's going to VASTLY change the deal/valuation of the companies, and it would cost ACB approximately 35% more to pick up CMED after the acquisition. ACB can't bind themselves to that kind of a deal. That's why you see that condition in there. Conditions can either be fulfilled, or waived by the party whose benefit the condition is for. Meaning if ACB really wanted to, they could waive the condition and proceed at the $24/share. But I doubt they would. If they still wanted CMED after acquisition of HIP, they would likely come up with a new offer.
Either way, I'm here for the sales licence, and could really care less what happens here (although I would not be opposed to joining with CMED)
