Earnings

I've got a look at RQB's current theoretical revenue from the cannabis sale:
Edmonton: Twitter was posted in mid-August, they're entering the second harvest. During their eight-week harvest cycle, the next harvest is expected in mid-October. Edmonton is expected to produce 7000 kg of cannabis per year. In an eight-week growth cycle, that makes 6 times a year. So you produce about 1166 kg of cannabis per harvest. At the third harvest in mid-October, they should have been so about 3500kg cannabis in Edmonton. Assuming 8 Doller per gram of cannabis that makes about $ 28 million out of Edmonton in mid of October. In addition there are revenues from Markham and Consulting. That would not look so bad this year with the liquidity. Am I correct?

growing and selling weed are different things.... don't assume a $/gram amount either. $8... is high in my opinion... closer to $5.  There's really not much to go off of to predict earnings this quarter. It's a wait and see type deal.

thanks for your answers. From my point of view, they selling and growing shouldn't be a different thing this year. They have a B2B Contract about 8.000 kg this year. Sell should be nearly equal to growth. OK let's say 5 dollars per year. The revenue should look way better. Maybe they invest in Europe, so that Profit is not so high. I would expect a big increase of revenues for this year ...more

Hi roadster, growing cannabis and selling product are different activities.. that’s all I’m saying. If we grow 10,000 kilos it does not mean it all gets sold. I’m not familiar with how it all works in the new recreational market. there is a contract with wayland where we sell at $5/gram.  Also you said “maybe they invest in Europe, so that profit is not so high”  that makes 0 sense ...more

The profit a business makes is equal to the revenue it takes in minus what it spends as costs. Cannabis sales + consulting = revenue Invest in Europe = cost (invest) Costs (invest, providing technology in Europe) will firstly reduce profit Investment should pay off to raise revenue in future. Thank you very much for your advice to read, watch and listen to all that information. With the B2B ...more

Lol thanks, I’m an Accounting graduate.. so I think I understand net profit.  You still don’t understand that we need not invest in Europe because that’s what the Joint Venthre is for. Give your head a shake... jesus some people have 0 brain cells these days
Comment by roadster8 on Sep 09, 2019 10:33am
I a already wrote that investing in europe is necessary. You said I should stop speculating. The whole investment is a speculation. Or do truecanadians know more then rest of the world. I'm out.
Comment by TheTruCanadian on Sep 09, 2019 10:41am
Yes it’s necessary but we’re already in Europe!!!! What are you failing to understand?
Comment by TheTruCanadian on Sep 09, 2019 10:45am
Lol this investment is not speculation, it’s not speculation if you actually read financial statements, news releases, podcasts, investment blogs, I’ve called and talked to Mathieu McDonald our Investor Relations multiple times.  I don’t have insider information, everything that I have said can be found on the internet. You keep talking about Europe but are too stupid to know that we just ...more

I know about those facilities. I just wanted to say that this year is very interesting to look at the revenue of RQB and if anyone can give an approximate estimate for this. From the receipts it might be possible to say something about 2020. Due to the necessary investments in Europe and others, the profit may not reflect the good business of RQB this year. But the first earnings could be a good ...more

We are all on the same page and you are speaking to big suppoprters. Anyone well read on the company knows the details and where they should be by the end of 2020 which is astounding really. The question is where is revenue now and by the end of the year which we won't hear about until March? for end of year/1st quarter. In February (thanks for correcting me) we will see end of October numbers ...more

Every investment is a form of speculation. Data is used to predict possible financial rates in the future. Some are riskier, some are not. But if that's not speculation for you, you've got to know the future. Tell us about the next lotto numbers. Thank you. You are the best

There just can't have been that much loaded by June. I was literally there on the 24th and they had one full cluster growing and enough clones/starter plants to put into one additional cluster. They have enough mother plants to have made clippings to fill 3 rooms, sure, but not by end of June. That said, I have zero idea how busy they've been this summer. There was talk of getting more ...more

My guess is because their whole mindframe is playing everything by the book. Hence the reason they only made a small test batch after getting the license to make sure everything measured up to their expectations including the passing of the crops test, timeframe, second visit from HC etc. Why would they fill up all the orbitals ahead of time without making sure everything worked as planned to the ...more

Ok and if it turned out something went wrong with the gardens, as in didn't live up to the expectations they would have had to take everything out and figure out the problem before reinstalling the gardens back in which would have been a waste of time, labour cost, etc. I'm sure it was just them being cautious. I personally would have done the same thing. The company has clearly shown that ...more

Just smart business planning from what I can tell. Why spend the money if you don't need it right away. They knew that when they did get the license that they were growing from seed and doing a test round so they had 3 to 4 months until they would have enough mothers and clippings in sequence for the mass production.  They likely had the 1st few rooms of 7 6 packs of orbitals done but ...more

Maybe the "Production Growth Timeline (Kilograms)" graph on slide 25 of the RQB-Deck-Fall-2019.pdf investor presentation from the RQB web site gives some insight into that?   The presentation doesn't seem to be dated, so it isn't totally clear to me what parts of the graph had actually happened when it was created and which are just planned to happen.    ...more

I found that image on the power point very vague. If they got to full production for end of August then that would be planted not harvesting and so harvesting at full production then by end of October. Assuming everything is always slower as it seems it coincides with my hopes for end of November. They are either not talking about production much because they are behind or trying to surprise ...more

ahh the casual doubt. Well you can go to short data.ca and look there. look how it spikes on good news. Go to stock watch.com and look at short data there. The anonymous thing is funny because that is at the level above retail. lets say you have 5 or 10 big investors all big on a stock with positions and the stock or sector is down and they are long but have short term needs for example. They could have had all 8 rooms full by now and growing and if they are not then the current targets are wrong. Blame it on Health Canada for the delay but communicate with investors and let us know.
