FFN unit nav in realtime @ $15.70

So despite the CAD bouncing back to almost the level on June 28th, the UNIT NAV has still risen by 11 cents. With the last trade @ $5.54 , it seems maybe some sellers missed out on the  effect of ...more

CAD rebounding vs USD

Not too much of a surprise... USD not holding up well vs most currencies of late. FFN today would be down  from yesterday now..  but still likely above the level on June 28th.

RE:NAV July 1

My UNIT NAV After distributions for FFN on June 28th was also $15.59 and that was the estimate i used on the spreadsheet . Changed all the inputs back to the exact closing price on June 28th. Then ...more

Closing NAV net of dist for July 1 = $15.746

I have adjusted my calculation using the Jun 28 weightings which added 2.8 cents to my earlier post !!

FFN unit nav jumps approx: 16 cents from June 28 close

Switched all the numbers in the spreadsheet over to the JUNE 28 th close and used the approx: UNIT NAV i posted. CAD fell to 72.8 USD.. and the exchange rate did  push up the  NAV for the US ...more

UP 13 CENTS FROM ESTIMATED JUN 28TH CLOSE.. EXCHANGE RATE 72.79 CENTS

Canadian market closed but FFN holdings having a good day

SO far the USD has gained about .42 % on the CAD, and this adds to the gains in the US holdings. GS, JPM , MS and  WFC  all having very good days, with the gains above 2% when the exchange ...more

Ah yes , corrected the spreadsheet and it went from just below $15.78 to just above... small holding and did not make too much of a difference.  But nice there were actually 5 of the holdings ...more

Portfolio increase

My portfolio mockup has NAV up 1.2% today, mainly thanks to US banks.

I  have the same closing unit nav of $15.78. I also included USB which I believe went ex-div also today. Exchange rate used was 73.08 cents

So the spreadsheet is showing a gain of 35 cents since the update midmonth. 4 of the holdings went exdivvy since the midmonth udpate.... CM , NA ,FITB and CIX. 3 of them today. Value of the common ...more

ex divvy date selling ... US banks doing well early

Looked down the list of US banks FFN  holds and all are up .  MS has lowest % gain @ .92 but the rest are over 1% up today. CAD banks doing ok, and MFC, SLF and GWO all are up..
