Graham He was a key contact person for Futura. Was he let go or left on his own? No news release. Some people may say he jumped ship before it sunk. All know the history its on Futura's website. Were these people businessmen or dreamers? Robust, proprietary POS programs developed, etc. Where are they now?
The Board of Directors. Entrusted to look after shareholder interests. Maybe too closely involved with the company, to stand back and look at operations from a distance.
Did management ever follow due diligence for the car dealership idea, or rushed into it, blinded by the big money that industry spins out? Or as Graham would say: "...given the immense importance (ie: financial size) of the vehicle sales and service category...." If it was fertile ground for making money, Aeroplan would have been there a long time ago.
The same with the US expansion idea big rush. Huge market. 20,000 retail locations, etc. Here again blinded by big money potential, while at home things were slowing down. At best, they had the cannons, but not the ammo.
I don't know whose left working at Futura and maybe it doesn't matter if the company shuts down. It's just to keep the company going until the last day. Unless someone can say otherwise and there's some chance of hope remaining.
