Financing

It's taking too long to get financing put together as they said they had a lot of intrest . One would think a deal would have been drawn up pending permits. Also no updated Capex for the mine. Finally overall market conditions aren't great. So far this team has done an amazing job so I'm not doubting them just saying it's taking longer than I anticipated

I'm wondering if the fact they have had "a lot of interest" may be the reason it's actually taking longer to complete the financing. If all the offers were just pure debt the selection process would be fairly simple (term + interest rate). Among the offers may be equity and quasi-equity (such as convertible bonds) financings and those are more complex to evaluate. As I said ...more

"trust in management" is key

I understand your frustration Sacks, I'm feeling the pressure too and down quite a chunk of change right now. You are spot on with how management have looked after all of this to date, and as Specific says..... we just need a little more patience. I guesstimate that in four weeks time, we will be hearing a lot of news. My understanding is they are finishing up on the detailed engineering and ...more

I think the capex change is going to be non trivial as they said. The environment isn'T as good as a year ago  but much better than a month or 2 ago, so that is positive, China is going to help copper and PD is dragging a bit, but presumably as car production increases and that will change assuming they slow down car prod if recessionary pressures. if the rate picture slows down or ...more

It is permits first and then financing.  They could already have a deal in place right now and we would not hear about it.  Permits should be done in the next five weeks and then we will have a string of news releases outlining details of the financing as well as the start of site preparation.  Not long to wait now and we may see a jump in shareprice in February as people begin to ...more

Dec. 13 Renmark presentation, at 15-16 and 22-23 minute mark Kerry gives timeline for release of permits, financing and new cap-ex numbers. Cap-ex expected to be 20 to 25 percent higher than amount in FS ($132 million to $165 million higher). Permits in 1st or 2nd quarter. Financing end of 1st quarter. https://genmining.com/investors/events/

GENM is News dependent. The longer we are without news, the more our share price will slip. If its the end of Feb before finance and permits are in place? Their may be several buying opportunities. The short & distort group will use this time to manipulate this low volume stock. Should that happen? I will be adding some myself!  Just throwing this out there so nobody is surprised..If you ...more

I agree that the big moves are news dependent and there will often be a rebound afterwards as interest dies back; however, a lot of  the slow downward changes in price can be directly attributable to the reduction in palladium prices that have taken place over the last 6 months.  I think shareholders should be worried about equity dilution because a low share price will make this worse ...more
