My "Spidey Senses" are on full alert on this one.
Study the Bolshevik revolution, many decrees regarding grain and food production. Ultimate result, was chaos, starvation, and assorted atrocities.
The Macro story is becoming quite clear:
1. Governments instituting draconian limits on freedom. (Covid / Vax Pass, etc.)
2. Governments disrupting energy systems. (Carbon Tax, ESG, Russian sanctions, etc.)
3. Governments attacking food production. (Fertiliizer limits, etc.)
Any one of these steps alone might be easily explained, but the totality of the above is rather striking. We as investors are not just fighting a business cycle, we are unwittingly fighting a global totalitarian takeover of our food and energy systems. In my humble opinion, this will not end well for anyone.
