It seems likley the shorts are playing some game here with the timing of the SIB. Perhaps as you say they wanted the share price to stay up, so the SIB would fail, and now today they are shorting ...more

Yeah the market has helped them out. I guess as a long term shareholder it's good if they can buy back shares cheap, more accretive for those who hold on.

I think it's pretty certain they will, unless suddenly a drop in the market. They said on the conference call that they could if necessary.

If there is a formal offer, and it's presented to the shareholders, and the shareholders vote to accept, your shares will be bought out.

the takeover offert it's over than 28.60 $ / share... the maximum of the Dutch auction (buyback per HCG) is 28,60 $
