re dividend drop.

i bought 14000 shares at 9.15. ive not only lost over 40 percent on share price, but another 40 on the dividend. this stock is 80 percent of my portfolio, so being a pentioner , this has hit me hard.

That sucks. I am planning to retire in January and during the covid time I also bought dividend stocks but I bought 22 of them. Just recently sold TD and CNQ still hold 20 or 19. One of them was T.INO . I also paid over $ 9 but I had only 800 shares , dumped all of them @ 6.40 now trying to get back in. Since you have so many you don't have a choice but to hold. I do believe they will recover ...more

With many higher quality reits and diversified covered call etfs with comparable yields I can't imagine putting 80% into this. Especially with the current state of Europe, insiders dumping and high payout ratios. Hopefully it turns around, but that was ballsy. Never let one company take you out.

I see net insider buying since 8-9... see them own more than 20 percent of the stock, can you please share your sources about insider dumping???

There was a little bit of buying. 50k here, 50k there. But prior to that was millions upon millions tossed out.

I'm down near six figures. Depends if you think the fundamentals are good. I do my due diligence periodically and nothing has changed my opinion. Long term hold.
Comment by Lyburnum on Aug 18, 2022 4:41pm
I don't think the company is in trouble yet and I'm pretty sure they're going to increase the dividends at one point in the next year. it`s just that the timing of this cut is the worst possible for myself... this is the last time I go YOLO on an asset like this. sigh.

This is in free fall since Tue. and no hope of any recovery now drops under 5 and margin calls gonna hit thats what Shorts were betting for  ,,Worse Reit  i have seen in this year who ever holding big bags are here for long haul now

Can you buy sub $10 stocks on margin? NAV per share is easily $8 or some reports (like CFRA) say $10 per share ! Historically they traded at around 80% of NAV so if NAV is $8 it should be at least $6.40 .. and if you use $9/share as NAV from their latest 2Q 2022 financials it ought to be over $7 and if you use $10 it ought to be $8, which is 60% above the current depressed price of around $5. ...more

if they can`t afford the dividends, then why would they be able to afford a normal course issuer bid lol
