Could test the $3's

Market continues to bleed but the decline today was nothing significant to warrent today's 5% drop. This leads me to believe there is a strong chance, with volatility, this could dip into the $3's. Keeping some low lying bids open just in case.
Comment by GoodMonkey on Sep 01, 2022 1:11pm
And it could jump back over $5 real fast.  Good try.
Comment by flamingogold on Sep 01, 2022 2:15pm
Yes it could and I'll be happier if it does. But, the market looks like it wants to retest June lows which could open the door for more bleeding here. So, I am ready to add if I am right but if I am wrong then as shirtless said I am ok with what I got now.

You mean your okay with your short position right now? No one just makes a blatant fear mongering post like that unless you are have reason to to instill even more fear. But hey it's all part of the "game". :)
Comment by flamingogold on Sep 01, 2022 2:51pm
No short here, I posted my buy for today and also last week which was even higher. The market is entering a traditionally volatie period, so best to ease in. That was always my recommendation.

I think it is entirely possible, and infact it could be over halfway there by the end of tomorrow.  It's unfortunate that the divi cut has come amid so much volatility in the market. Very recently, someone was basically saying on here that there was no risk buying at just over $5.  Anyone taking their advice could already be down 15-20 per cent by 4 tomorrow. it just goes to show ...more

Fair enough, but fundamentals have to come into play at some point. Share price was already .5 PBR st $5.00, now it's even crazier. This is not a pump and dump startup with no assets. No line goes straight up or down forever.
Comment by BlueJay2020 on Sep 01, 2022 11:39pm
it all depends on which fundamentals you trust. At tbe end of the day book value is an accounting number and the only way you can really verify it is by selling. I much prefer AFFO as that tells you how much cash tbe NAV is generating. That is what I want to rely on as steady support for the distribution, not the hope of a capital gain down the line. Even after the cut AFFO is too high for my ...more

BlueJay, are you buying SOT.UN? Same distribution rate as here but lower payout ratio. Also, looks like they have an activist investor involved and we both know how that worked out for SRV.
Comment by GoodMonkey on Sep 02, 2022 12:39pm
I have been buying SOT.UN - Great dividend and solid company.  I offloaded my INO shares this morning, I won't touch this company anymore. I really don't trust this management team anymore.  SOT.UN is a much safer bet IMO.
Comment by flamingogold on Sep 02, 2022 12:59pm
After telling the board just yesterday this could jump to $5 you decide to sell cause you "distrust management"? If you prefer to trade this fine but nothing with management has changed since yesterday.
Comment by GoodMonkey on Sep 02, 2022 1:16pm
That wasn't for a trade, I wanted to take advantage of the lower price to start a long position for the dividends but something was really bugging me that they took a special dividend just before offloading of bunch of shares and then announced that they were cutting divi by 50%.   I also don't want to be exposed to Europe during the coming Winter, who knows how bad things could ...more

SOT has European exposure too. My position here is just a starter and I won't be surprised if it goes down further. My basket will be full if it touches the $3's. I never chase stocks up nor do I ever go all in on a trade.
Comment by ELKInvestor on Sep 02, 2022 3:46pm
SOT is also nowhere near all time lows and has not been destroyed in a sell off for weeks. INO's chart won't be depressed forever and will catch up to itself eventually. It's sitting at an RSI of 12-14 for a while and is now a value play. Money is easier to make when you but the bottom of the barrel. Value value value. No one cares you switched to another struggling REIT and want ...more

Incompetent  CEO and board already destroying VALUE of this company. It is not value story anymore ,may be turnaround story( if somebody will increase position in ownership and will try to remove CEO and board , but  company under control of Inovalis asset managment) . If you have history of investment in REIT ,again , looks like what managment did with PAR.UN ,just check what kind ...more

Why do you keep posting here? If your not believe in this company? Right you just want to keep fear instilled for your short position.

$3's are here. Patience pays.
Comment by BlueJay2020 on Nov 07, 2022 10:27am
Just as we predicted!  Still not buying at these levels - increasingly a show-me story.  I would say it is still a hold, though, for those already in with both feet. $3.50 not out of the question on a bad day,
Comment by pjn0987654321 on Nov 07, 2022 12:07pm
Thought you already had a position in this around $4.75.  I must be thinking of someone else.
Comment by flamingogold on Nov 07, 2022 12:44pm
You are correct that was me. Dipped my toes in with a starter position at that level and said do not buy over $5 and that I was waiting for low $4's or even $3s and a double digit distribution. Someone else criticized me for price targetting that low. I made a small buy today and have another one set in the low $3's. I never go all in. This one has unfortunately dusted the long time ...more

Sound strategy, thanks for sharing.  Maybe their NAV was inflated before but I would think it's worth at least in the $5s.  The properties can always be repurposed into something else.
Comment by flamingogold on Nov 07, 2022 2:31pm
Orange SA resigning their lease would have been ideal short term since repurposing requires time, money and adds uncertainty to the equation. Longer term, however, the potential will be more rewarding as the refreshed product comes to market to meet the current mix of residential/commercial demand. For now, a little pain lies ahead even for new investors since nailing a bottom is very much a ...more

Orange will be vacating in about 6 months, if I remember rightly.  That's 6 months more of rent anyway.

I have never seen so much blood over such non-news as in the case of inovalis this week lol.
