Why is CEO Selling Shares He Owns?

Specifically, I don't know. What I do know is that he still owns and controls millions of shares. I also know that while Mellon Trust has sold shares, it had recently loaned Pyro over $1,000,000.00.

Why would you sell something that you think will go up significantly even if you own a pile of shares?  Don't want more money?  So, why take more options and warrants? And if he needs to raise money through Mellon for personal reasons, then lending money to PYR is inconsistent with that explanation. U may or may not have reviewed some if my previous posts looong time ago but IMO PPP is a Stand-Up Guy  with respect to Fairness & Speaks Volumes !!! with selling at lows when he has Visibility with respect to Pyro's current Financial & anticipated Future Financial position & conditions ! IMO Not many PPL would do what he does , sell at lows knowing Big NR's/PR's ...more

Too much to unpack here. The bottom line is that it is logical to wonder why an insider is selling if things are good. I think it is also logical to look at it through a different lens if you lost a pile of money. No, he doesn't have to state why he is selling, just needs to disclose insider transactions.  If he engaged investors and offered an explanation, then at least everyone here ...more

One plausible explanation is that he was granted stock options as part of his pay. This causes no cash drain to the company and he get his money to live on. His regular sales pattern would tend to support that.  As pointed out below, quis sais? All I know is that of you want to make some point, you can always find a reason

I've never indicated that Pascali needs money for personal reasons.  And I've never disputed the fact that Pyro's cash and cash flow are an issue (see my previous posts on this issue).   Could it not be the case that Mellon Trust sold shares in Pyro to generate funds to lend right back to Pyro.  Seems likely because that's what has hapenned.   Note ...more
