Millions of dollars to each of these permit holders to settle on the cheap or by court of law the government could have to pay billions of dollars. We are all going to find out soon enough. QEC, ATI, PCQ, SQX should all trade higher!

Look at the land holdings, reserves, expenditures to date being expropriated.

to be honest, a settlement through the court would be better, because in that case, the situation in 2009 - 2011 would be the base for future business calculations.  People which had shares at this time, and lost anything would get their funds back, which have been stolen from the Canadian Government.  Now, shareholders can win something, which have nothing to do with the business 10 ...more

$175 million was mentioned but I have no idea as to how this figure was arrived at. The great benefit of significant cash compensation is Questerre would have the cash to fully develop its other assets such as the world class discovery in Jordan or acquiring low decline producing assets in Western Canada or elsewhere ..
