How's The Buyout Rumours...

Been quiet on this board. Any more rumours floating around? What do we think is going to happen to the price of oil in the short term...? Any educated guess'?

No company has a choice. Under IFRS impairment has to be tested when there is a trigger, in this case the future price curve has not moved back up so its not a temporary thing. As such, companies had ...more

maybe nothings going on. The books where going to look ruff anyway due to oil price. Maybe they figured the oposite. Do it now while the pain is already present.

Last financial shows a lost because of one time non cash impairment.  Out experience companies have done this right before a takeover or any big change to the company's structure. Bombardier ...more

Agreed. Canadian insider doesnt normally take this long to post transactions. Not sure where that info came from. RMP is definetly undervalued even at this oil price, would love to see a takeout, but ...more

Maybe it will, maye it wont, all im saying is insider buying combined with a 20% decrease in SP in the past 2 weeks doesnt bode well. The $4.35 takeout rumour previously mentioned seems extremely far ...more
