Today's experience with Investor relations

I called Investor relations today and ask the Lady who answered if the fund had a dividend reinvestment program... There was about a 10 second pause and she then told me that She was not authorized to answer that and I had to contact the Chief Financial Officer for a question such as that... I wonder what questions that She is authorized to answer ???

This had to be the dumbest response I have ever received from an Investors Relations department in over 50 years of investing...
