Go Private and other discussions

Go Private and other discussionsI suspect its unlikely that he will try to take the business private.  It's so much easier to raise equity against a public market.. and ultimately his cash cow is having Starlight actually make money via there multiple public REIT funds that they manage and maintain.   It doesn't really fit that he would want to take it private as he would then just be paying himself.  I think he/starlight has far more to gain keeping it public as they can raise equity, take a peice of that equity and 'manage' the funds after the mergers.

I think the real discussion here is to get involved to cause the share price to recover allowing them to actually be able to raise again with a straight face.  Its probably nothing more then a desire to make a boatload of money from silly retail investors and then buy them in again when the thing recovers by selling the shares back to the market in small increments over many years and also raising equity in significantly large portions back to the public markets via underwiting.

2023 and 2022 were not good years for equity raising.  It will be a few years before the good times return.  They will return, they always do.  This is no standard recession though and its tough to predict exactly when.
