Yes another special dividend will be announced in early April. The speicial dividend paid out in early January was announced in (4th qtr) December of 2021 to be paid out in January 2022. The next dividend will be announced early April to stockholders as of around mid April and paid out in early May.

Wait a minute.  That is speculation on your part integrity.  Management has never stated every quarter, only as they see fit.   He was asking for FACTS.  What you gave is your speculation. IMHO I agree, but it is not guaranteed, unless I missed a NR.

Yes Gunner you are correct. I should have said IMO . IMO a very good dividend likely around $1.25 per share will be announced in early April.

Actually Integrity you do not see why I commented the way I did.  You were definitive that a special divy WILL be announced.  That is not true and why I commented. That was sarcasm to CMT's post.  Thought everyone would understand that.  If you sell on the dips, you are not a shorter.  You buy to cover your position.    I am long TOU and buying ever chance

I think it's pretty obvious at least one more (a 3rd) special dividend will be announced given the commodity price over the last 6 months. WTI and Nat are both much higher than when TOU paid out the other two special dividends. TOU announced their intensions of paying more special dividends and its safe to assume at least one more is coming given spot pricing. Wasn't the first one paid

Thanks for the  clarification Gunner. Also happy to hear you are adding to your position as I have been. Don't regret stating that IMO at least one more significant special dividend will be announced in April. I speculated early April but looking back at the past two special dividends it may not be announced until mid April.

I'm also convinced that we will keep seeing special divs every 4 months,more FCF than they know what to do with and I like the policy of giving it to shareholders.

Food for thought: Michael L Rose ( Chair & CEO) keep buying since 2 years. Even in the last week. He possess  16,331,516 shares.   Each special dividend….it’s a lot of money in his pocket. Last dividend (February) he got 1,25$ X 16 millions shares = 20 millions   I’m pretty sure he will keep special dividend as long as he can.      GLTA

The fact that M Rose is buying is nothing to get real excited about.  He has been buying the stock forever regardless of the price of the dividend being paid. He is not in this just for himself but all the shareholders.  The company is well established with a get BS and so much cash it is time for all of use to reap the rewards.

Tourmalines latest earnings were so amazing that the current P/E of 7.8 is lower now at the current price of $50 than the P/E was when Tourmaline traded at $40. In comparison, Enbrige trades at a P/E of 20 and CNQ trades at a P/E of 12. All very different companies however I wouldn't make the argument that TOU's business model is far better than ENB and CNQ In 2020 when NG was $1.50
