shane, do you remember my post from one month ago? Anyone who followed this trade would be able to buy back now and at a lower price. So you get the tax write-off and you get your shares back at a cheaper price. Anyone do that? I don't think it is too late. I believe the VXX will continue to slide and you can still get your tax loss and get your shares back before the price goes up. If ever.

if the US Fed introduces QE 3 on Thursday, VXX will crash. IMO.

If I owned VXX I today I would sell, take the tax loss and hold the money to buy again later when the market eventually retreats.
