RE:Pax testing COVID positive on cruiseThis is particularly interesting because August 27th, 2020, in its Q2 2020 Financial Report DM stated:
"
Datametrex is in final stages of a COVID-19 testing supply agreement to test all landed passenger and crew from cruise ships making a port of call for the Caribbean country of Antigua using the 1copy™ COVID-19 qPCR Multi kit. Under the terms of the agreement,
the Company will supply around 6,000 test kits per day and will also supply the latest Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) machine (qTOWER3 PCR) to reduce inspection time and lead time.
Before landing at the cruise terminal, the cruise line will distribute alphanumeric labels to each passenger and present labels to technicians along with boarding passes and passports at the COVID-19 testing and temperature testing station set up in a passageway exiting the ship."
Since the cruiseline industry was put on hold, thereafter, this initiative likely didn't contribute (much) to DM's test kit sales BUT given 1) the re-starting of the cruise industry 2) importance of tourisn to the Caribbean nations and 3) these countries wish to remain COVID-clear.
In short, there's a lot of COVID-19 test kits sales potential.
For those wanting nothing to do with COVID-19 income, I'd suggest they sell their DM shares and buy Palantir, who are an AI pure play. Furhtermore, PLTR has gone down 45% from it's high vs DM which has gone down approx 40%.
For my part, I'm quite happy with DM continuing generating COVID income, while it's AI pipeline continues to mature (not to mention, as Marshall's previously alluded to, that COVID has been helping it increase its rollodeck of contacts - to increase AI contracts.

Not sure if DM has managed to sell test kits to cruise lines but a recently started cruise by Royal Caribbean is off to a bad start with a couple of cases confirmed already.
