Regarding the more specific possibility that you discuss 1) I believe MG said that they were not looking to get taken over. 2) It would be unusual for a takeover to happen all of a sudden - I'm fairly certain they would have to go through a lengthy vetting and voting process. In the last discord call, this was so far away from any of the discussions that this would have had to come up and be finalized essentially within a month. Can't completely exclude it of course.
