I think the timing is relate to the failed RS. They get the consolidation and they get a fresh round of financing. Retail investors will have input how this plays out. Very little insider ownership

Mentioned by another that the takeover company is affiliated to Karen. Been wondering why, if going private was a viable option, it wasn't done much sooner when the price would have been more
