price

Price went from well over 2.00 to present level on less than 2 million shares. It  will gap up in due time. Patience

that information good sir is simply not true. And what facts support that it will gap up in due time?

It may or may not be true....only time will tell.>

I stand corrected. It went from 2.00 down to its low on about 6.4 million shares, which is about 5.5 per cent of all shares outstanding.  I don't have a crystal ball but it is my opinion that it will gap up quickly once things turn in the gold sector. the point being made is would be more worried if it was a massive selloff of shares.

Personally, I don't know that facts are of any relevance in this market. It's down to gut feelings. My gut agrees that we will someday soon gap up, and gap up again and again until we reach rational prices. When you absorb all the conflicting analysis and predictions, as well as those of the many self-serving market gurus and newsletter writers (did I mention Tweedle Nadler and Tweedle ...more

Your post is 100% correct. The only tangible thing anyone can do in this market is learn to be proficient at Technical Analysis. A lot of traders trade on TA and that also becomes a self fulfilling prophecy in the market. The TSX is taking an unfair beating and what the catalyst is that will bring it back up is impossible to say. Its a shame we are getting this treatment so soon after 2008. And ...more

Yes, Cavedude, a self-fullfilling prophecy. The TSX is partly about momentum and greed. And GCU traded down because it started trading down (in a general downward market). Fear trumping greed. Players playing momentum. When it starts to move up, it will continue to move up, and sometimes gap up -- largely because it is moving up, again -- until it reaches an equilibrium that we call fair value, or ...more

Yessum. Talk about blind emotional trading. Do they think somebody rustled 5 - 10 million oz of gold, sank the barges, stole the drill rigs, burned the tents, scraped up the REEs in Malawi, plus the lab lost the cores, AND bears got to all the food in camp?

News tomorrow. Gold Canyon intercepts 300 meters of 24 carat gold jewelry from Tiffanys. All drill holes ended in heart-shaped diamond mineralization. That would certainly spite the jokers who sold today on no news and no material change, just nervousness. Sorry, just an attempt at humor at a time the tapes sucks.

At least the shorts are covering . . . now we need some deep pockets to go loooooonnng, very long.
Comment by cavedude on Apr 18, 2012 9:51pm
hey MRS, what site do you source to see shorts covering? It just seems we are just getting pushed down on low volume. Usually a short cover pushes the stock up noticably. Thanks in advance.   Cave
Comment by Geospot on Apr 18, 2012 10:12pm
Yes, Cavedude. Pushed down on low volumes. Seems like buyers were on the sidelines and who buys a junior resource stock and then when selling dumps more than 20K shares on the Ask when the thing has only traded about 25K shares in the whole morning and there's nothing on the bid. I don't have the time or the tools to watch the Level 2 so maybe the seller could see something under Bid that ...more
