The DR imports all of its oil and most of it raw grain to produce food.If the tourisim drops 20 to 25% as a result of the global crisis of the Russian invasion and economic slow down due to high inflation and a global recession the DR could face a 30% to 40% drop in tourisim on top of the lost revenue from covid.The only thing the DR has going for it is rising gold price exports.The PV mine is critical to the DR and its permit is now a matter of National Security to its economy.Romero is the only shovel ready gold mine  in the DR and the Russian invasion/covid has made it also part of National economic security.Romero will get its permit along with Barrick is my prediction.

There are 2 types of delay. The first one is because of not wanting to take any political risk. And the second version where people work hard in the background.
