RE:RE:Buyout impossible?I really doubt DD would be interested in selling at this price so even if he did get an offer he likely wouldn't even announce it. He would simply talk it over with his BOD's and it would be rejected. The company making the offer could possibly go hostile and take it directly to shareholders but GSI has the option of then passing a poison pill. So highly unlikely a BO would come anytime soon. IMO
The small private Canadian company Ecobee got bought out a couple years ago by the giant Generac Generator in the US for $770m. The thought was Generac wanted to get into the Smart Home sector. I use an Ecobee thermostat and like it. Would I want a complete smart home probably not at my age. Maybe some younger people would though.
