Transcending Deal

for both....GSI and purchaser.

'GSI gets 5million now to expand, and another 5,5 million in the exercise of future warrants

the buyer gets a deal@ 1.00 + warrants. If they wanted to buy 5 million shares on the open market they would probability drive the stock over $1.00 and get no warrants.

so a WIN - WIN for both

Once again, I agree and remember that prior to this morning's increase in SP, the market cap was only $55M.  So this investor was essentially stepping up to the plate  with a financing at a significant premium and worth nearly 10% of the market cap. Now if that isn't a sign of confidence, I don't know what is. The people who become very rich in these markets are the ones that ...more

You don't get warrants when you buy on the open market, thats a big difference - the warrants allow them to acquire another 5 milloin shares, The investor also gets to watch the progress and invest more if and when the company breaks out.  We shall see who the buyer is hopefully soon, but I think its probably just someone that absolutely believes in the opportunity and realizes that the ...more

Burning the midnight oil? Posting at 2:30 am? I will tell you what you're missing: intelligence (and sleep, obviously)!  But a steep rise in stock price will bring out the odd short spewing conspiracies. Seriously, buying 5 million shares in the open market of a tightly held, thinly traded company would've probably brought the price well over 1$ right then and there. There is no ...more

correct this PP contains full warrants not 1/2 warrants commonly seen so 10m shares total if excercised by the investor/s Thats 10% ownership in GSI. Someone obviously likes what they see here and the growth potential. Sedi shows the BC Discovery Fund also held 5m shares at one point. Maybe Doug likes that number. Not too big not too small. British Columbia Discovery Fund ...more

HenoftheWoods, relmjh9413 HenoftheWoods - geez relax, if you go back and look at the posts, I was trying to quote relmjh9413 and my first paragraph was along the lines of yours.  Have another coffee.  Some of us have demanding jobs and aren't home sitting on CERB trading stocks otherwise I would have totally bought some more of this yesterday.  And don't assume ...more

Well said,  have been LONG and have been rewarded for buying on the way up. I did try the other night to scoop up more at $ .70 but the news popped the open much higher and we moved to a new entry point between $ .80 - 90 cents. Still a good price point if you have a 2-3 year time horizon.

mjh9413 wrote "The 4 month hold on the new financing adds to the puzzling aspect of not doing purchases in the open market." In my experience , with secondary issues of shares , a hold period is not uncommon. As for regulators wanting more details , seeing this placement of shares was material to the price , I am positive they were happy with the details the company provided.
