A little humor here is called for...

HenoftheWoods & theprovincial do you think the market-maker reads my posts?

I said, in one of them, that I had decided that .65 was an unrealistic buy point and so I modified my order to .70 and was filled. But today I see it hitting .66.

Do you think he might drive the price to .65 as a reminder to me that I should  have waited but didn't.  Is he telling me that all things come to him that waits and I should have?

As an afterthought, I'm going to put in an order for 1000 at .65. This will be my message to the market-maker that I have, in some small way, redeemed myself. ha ha

ALL hoped-for things will come to you Who have the strength to watch and wait, Our longings spur the steeds of Fate, This has been said by one who knew 'Ah, all things come to those who wait,'  (I say these words to make me glad),  But something answers soft and sad,  'They come, but often come too late.' But Hen, it's redemption I'm looking for. Order going in straightaway!!! And then a pilgrimage to Rome.

Fergus2 -you don't fool an old hen ready for the soup pot... I've studied your posts left and right, up and down, inside out, and figured your shtick. No more perseverating -I mean prevaricating- ok? YOU are the market maker. YOU are trading between multiple accounts to drive the price down and cover your shorts, trunks, and bathing suits, etc. while everyone here is wringing their ...more

Great post HenoftheWoods!  We need to preserve our sense of humor,.... in all things. I might be accused of posting too much" fluff" but not everything in life is flint and iron.  You've got me stumped on "Rash kolnikov." I'll await your reply. P.S. Great detective work with the word "prevaricating" That was indeed the word the poster was ...more

Raskolnikov - anti-hero of Dostoyevsky's Crime and Punishment.  Seems apt as we are getting punished here.  And no, perseveration was the right word.  Unfortunately.

I've noted some literary quotes from you Fergus2, or what seems to be a literary interest. So I threw you a curve ball I must admit with "Rash-kolnikov". Raskolnikov is the main character in Dostoyevsky's crime and punishment novel. After murdering his landlady, the last few hundred pages of the novel follow him as he seeks to REDEEM himself, like you were seeking REDEMPTION ...more

Thanks for that poem. The first time I didn't scroll down far enough to see that was one of Marie Currrie's.   A thoughful piece and something perhaps insightful of her character; reflective, neat and careful.  I think both husband and wife won Nobel prizes.

Hi Fergus2 I thought it was beautifully written.  Look, I'm holding tight here and increasing my holdings. Unfortunately I started a bit early at 70cts, but I still think that this is a good entry price for the long term. Time will tell.

Me too added at .65
Comment by fergus2 on Nov 19, 2020 1:08pm
Well, Hen, I got my fill for 1000 at .65 with little note attached to the fill saying, "Don't you dare try and take my job!" Of course he would have seen my note on the order entry,  "Please Lord, don't make it go lower than .65." Thought it time to appeal to a higher pay grade.

There are more than 24 hours left for the deadline.... Maybe should have waited. If it doesnt come tomorrow it will fall for sure. No matter if a lower price is justified or not. You know, market emotions :)  But maybe you are lucky and everything goes fine tomorrow. It will shoot upwards for sure.
