It wouldn't take much of an investor group (I have a ton of wealthy investment friends) to take a run at the company as these levels.  I prefer the company execute on it's business plan so all of the investors benefit.

And if that US group of investors that wanted to pay a premium a year ago at much higher prices, why wouldn't they make a run at it now? or negotiate to another PP? It tells you how sincere they were.

if there was an investor accumulating shares , I would think the trading volume might be higher . January 10th seems to be the only day with elevated share elevated going back to July according to SH Canadian chart . U.S. chart shows 3 days of elevation going back to July. JMO

Are you guys reading about other competitors to GSI winning contracts? From the $140 million US$ funnel, is anyone being awarded these contracts?  From hearing Dyment, it's more a case of no one is hopping on buses or trains as many are still working from home...and that's the big problem. True, I don't know what I don't know, you know. If the investors were planning to come back now to do a PP, that is a material event that needs to be disclosed. Sure Doug said they could come back anytime, that's an indefinite timeline. If they are doing a run at GSI by buying in the open market, the volume doesn't support it, esp. against the backdrop of a declining share price.

Just had a mining stock bought out (TGC) it was in a JV though but the volume prior to the 36% bid over market  was normal as usual, in fact it went through some selling pressure before the announcement. One interesting thing about that takeover was every time it did try to run it got beaten back down. Basically I take nothing for granted in these markets. And GSI is opening itself up to

9Lives, That's a bit different than the case here. The conspiracy theorists have Fidelity buying on behalf of an interested investor (ie. previous US investors) over the past months, like a creeping takeover or getting a large position. In addition we had a US investor indicating over months they wanted to do a PP but failed to do so with numerous excuses. With TGC it was behind the scenes

I think if DD got wind of a possible hostile T/O at this level he would call a vote for a poison pill to be passed. No way he would be interested in selling this cheap with so many potential contracts waiting to be awarded. IMO Poison Pill Definition (investopedia.com)
