50 million warrants expiring

I do know that no one will make a move until the 50 milllion warrants at 0.40 expire on Aug 16th. This will seriously change and improve the market capitilization.  I have been watching this and in the event of a sale historically as well as logically, you see corporate action done when warrants that are low priced expire.  Therefore, I think we will see something sooner than later.

Couldn't find information about any warrants expiring on August 16, 2012.  Can you provide any data on these?  TIA

i believe the original 40c warrants expire this coming weekend (about 58m of them). they had 18 month life and started on 18Feb11. this will bring down the fully diluted share count to 174m shares or $35m market cap at 0.20 price. afaik there is no debt and almost no cash. there is also very suspicious management with zero culture.  the market cap seems low indeed. i start to see that there ...more

To get the answer I phoned and directly asked about the warrants and was told the 16th of August was the date they expire. Subsequently I found in a Feb 24th 2011 filing on SEDAR (approximately 300k) https://sedar.com/FindCompanyDocuments.do the issue date was stated as February 16th with expiry in 18 months. That's today and confirms what I was told or vice versa. Can't link directly so ...more

Gotta love the full court press...........lulling everyone into a state of paralysis before the big announcement. Sure would like to know why the constant selling tho. ============ Just an opinion nothing more, but why the constant selling..???   50 Millions warrants out there...that do NOT trade on the open market, hence are in hands of heavy players. BB, perhaps MRP management did not want to request extension of the warrants because a sale is imminent, and the Chairman is the largest single share holder therefore it is in his own interest to have the warrants expire if a sale is immminent therefore his value of his shares are worth more. I think that conclusion would have been obvious.

Dear investpro,   From the get go and as I stated I did anticipate hypothesis galore. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I would however ventureto suggest to you that was is obvious as you stated, to the common share holder, is obviously not so obvious to the same given they cannot explain the massive dump.   Investpro, Before you type your response to this comment, I suggest you take ...more

I happen to agree with IP, though I appreciate the thoughts. Warrants by their nature are incentives to direct investment. They of course are a source of funds for a firm, but they are excercised when they are discounted to market. It certainly saves a future financing though I don't know if the trade off is necessarily positive for the company and shareholders alike. They are after ...more

Hi BB, I have a great deal of respect for your posts always and follow/read where you post to gain your insights.  Not sure of what 'massive dump' you are talking about.  The only dump that I witnessed was a few days ago, the 800K block or so and as gje mentoned, was the reason I understand, along with a few weeks ago, a fund in the money after their share purchase at 0.20, good ...more
