I doubt Suresh even realizes how stupid it was to announce a financing with no terms.  He delegates financial stuff to the CFO who has covered his butt by telling CEO the reason for the failed financing was poor capital markets.    "...it has been a challenging year, at least in part because of a difficult global capital market environment for pre-revenue microcap ...more

They wanted to lose the pennystock status with a r/s and uplisting to Nasdaq. They were still a microcap. Then they run down the stock price from selling at the top to filing a blank financing. And now they are a mini-microcap. None of it was necessary. Self inflicted wound after self inflicted wound. Who will be taking responsibility? No its not the market, it is all on Poet management. Yeah saying it was a challenging year for pre-revenue microcap companies to raise money is a cop-out.  There is a long list of such companies in the AI sector that had no trouble raising money this year.  Poet was an exception...why didn't Suresh address the real reason they are having trouble raising money, why insiders are not buying at these levels and the decreasing involvement ...more

As long as the possibility of insolvency is alive, financing will always be difficult, irrespective of the capital environment. The fact that this management has put the company in this situation not once but twice is inexcusable.  Let's not forget the whole rationale for moving to the NAS was to prevent this very scenario. The brutal truth is even replacing the CFO and CEO will not be ...more

They all need replaced. The way to do that is a buyout by another company like Celestial. Kill two birds with one stone. Management and financing. I am sure there are other companies, anything better than this show.

Here I can agree with you wintersun10. I would welcome a buyout from Celestial because they would understand the real value that Poet is and they could structure a deal that makes everyone happy since this would be a friendly buyout, imo. gilver
