The only point that I was making: A Petroleum system could be identified without the finding of commercial agreggation of hydrocarbons, being found at the same time.
If I understand the purpose of Recaf's three wells it's to identify a petroleum system. In fact, this is a cut and paste from their website:
The Company’s initial work program is designed to confirm the presence of an active petroleum system in the Kavango Basin.
The matter that I posted in this thread stated that the presence of a petroleum system was determined to be in place in the Offshore area of South Africa. The discovery or analysis of the petroleum system occurred years before the hydrocarbons were found.
Same could occur in the 'Permian' in Kavango.
