Another option is to waite until the Belatrix fiasco run it's course in 2020 and you have the option of caring back the capital loss for three years.

Not sure if this helps but Income Tax Act s. 50(1) You may have an investment in some shares or debt which have become worthless, but you can't sell them because the security is no longer ...more

In this scenario, book value means less than nothing. Common shareholders might get a penny or two, if they are lucky. Most likely, you will get nothing.
