Founder Jonathan Ritchey ?
I like Exro a lot, and am fascinated by the technology. However there's a few things that concern me so I'm no longer holding shares for the time being.
The news release on Exro's AGM was short and had a "business as usual' sort of air about it. Which would be fair enough, exept for the fact that they threw into the mix- in a single sentence- that the founder and chief scientist Jonathan Ritchey was no longer on the board !
To say in one sentence that your Founder, Chief Scientist , and Inventor of 15 years - with numerous patents that serve as the core of the business- is no longer on the board of directors. To throw it out in a tiny blip as casually as you would say that "The office is considering getting a new leather couch and a candy dispenser ". Let me just say that is way too casual for a development as significant as that. It's an insult to the public's intelligence. At best it was a lazy and unprofessional on the part of management who simply couldn't be bothered releasing more information on such a significant matter to the publc. At worst, it is related to a negative development and something they wanted to brush under the rug.
It seems the only way this haphhazard type of company update could possibly be accepted by the shareholders. Is that the general sentiment of Exro shareholders has started to lean too far towards a cult of personality surrounding Sue Ozdimer. Don't get me wrong she was an amazing addition to the company and I was excited as anyone when they got her as CEO. The results she has brought speak for themselves and cannot be questioned.
I think it's important to remember that - as impressive as one person's connections and credentials may be - one person cannot sail a tall ship. It takes a crew. No victory is gauranteed and the path to success in an emerging field - with incoming competitors- is gained with a strong team and furthering alliances one person at a time. Dealing with HR issues in an authoratative knee-jerk fashion could be a devastating turn of direction for Exro.

Exactly. He wanted more time working on the tech. That's a really good thing.
