RE:War Breaking out in ME ............ Oil to $100+ on Monday "May you live in interesting times"
Seems big picture at play.
Hamas is a terrorist organization so named because of their policy of indiscriminate attacks on and use of civilians.
I first thought about the situation as a reaction to Israeli West Bank and East Jerusalem policy and peridic flareups but I expect there is a bigger picture at play. Seems Saudi Arabia and Israel were in discussions that included addressing Palestinians issues.
That then does not take for a big leap in logic to see Hamas as acting on behalf of Iran who would lose influence in the region to Saudi Arabia in political and religious Islam as Shiites, vs Saudi Sunnis, who have a bitter history of their own.
Lot of ifs ands and buts and see if you can connect dots thinking admittedly, but then the Russia Ukraine NATO front and a mid east Iran vs Israel front both engage the USA and splits their attention.
Bottom line is volatile situation and thereby volatility in oil prices with an upward trend.

As I said before, I know as much about oil and gas as a cow knows of climbing trees.
